I have not been able to find out what opera this is supposed to depict, but all the plates in this series seem to depict Richard Wagner operas. Marked on the bottom with a blue W inside a shield and Dresden Germany underneath. This is an overglaze decorating mark used by Richard Wehsner in Dresden Germany around 1895. If held up to a bright light, you can see this is a green crown over Rosenthal. Excellent unused condition with no chips, cracks or wear to the gilding.
There is however a very small in manufacture firing separation to the back edge. Measures 10 1/8 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display-ability of the piece.
